Why Use Fortatude Cycling and Fitness?
After working in top hotels and restaurants throughout the world and running my own hotel for many years, my love of sports and nutrition took me to being Head Chef of the Leander Club, where Olympic rowers are trained. Since then I have been living in Spain, chefing for top cyclists and also hosting cycling training camps in Isla Plana.
now in his 60s is in his best physical shape and is now sharing his vast personal and professional knowledge
Having over 60 years experience of life, being used to full work commitments, stress – as well as having numerous broken bones, heart issues, family issues …… Gives me an understanding of real life and real life problems faced when training.

5 Star Chef and nutritionalist
I am a Michelin chef with over 35 years in chefing and Event Management in International 5 star catering, including The Grosvenor, The Dorchester and luxury cruise lines. I spent fifteen years as a chef nutritionist for olympic rowers in Henley and supporting cyclists professional endurance athletes across Europe.
Since relocating to Spain, I have been hosting top cyclists and cycling training camps in Isla Plana, Murcia and working with top International cycling teams. Some recent ones include Scoda Tour de France,, UAE ADQ women’s cycling team and INEOS mens team. as well as managing my own cycling and nutritional training camps in Murcia Spain – Fortatude Cycling.
This has led me to have access to the top support specialists needed to make cycling tours successful.
Cycling/ sporting history
Enjoyed several sports over the years – county squash, badminton, cross-country running. In my mid 20s I was a a weight lifter/bodybuilder getting to 125kg, then golfer 8 handicap ( still 125kg not muscle) but then 18 months later I was down to 77kg cyclist 4Watts per kg Having cycled the whole TDF 2018, 312 Mallorca 3 times, dozens of sportives, Cardiff to Edinburg non stop in winter, London to Rome in winter for charity – I know how to train to achieve outstanding results! Enjoy playing padel competitively minimum 4 times a week, cycling 100/140km 1500 meters of climbing 3 times a week. Cycled and trained with 100s of professional athletes and continue to Hit classes 3 times a week, paddle board when I can find the time. Always looking for more adventures and challenges…
